Happy Birthday Jamey

Snuggling with Uncle DavidSnuggling with Uncle Jonathan
Chillin out all by himself
Helping Jamey blow out his birthday candles
These are the only candles i could find in the house

Today was Jamey's 35th birthday, so we went down to mom and dad's house to celebrate the big day along with my Uncle David & Aunt Cheryl, my cousins Blair and Jason, and my grandparents Mommie & Grandaddy, and my two brother's Jonathan & Brendan. We had a yummy dinner and Brendan even helped me make Jamey a birthday cake... only to realize that the only candles we could find spelled out " hary bit" instead of "happy birthday." Too funny!!

I am married to the most wonderful husband and father EVER! I love you honey and hope you had a GREAT GREAT birthday!

Our New Patio...

Our new patio was just finished.... yeah! After three months of fun construction we NOW have a screened in/extended patio for jack jack to play in!! now all we need is new furniture:)

Oh... and jack crawled for the first time today! We are sooooo proud of our little man!!

Mr. Lion...

Roar...Don't you love the price tag & hanger STILL attached
What a cute lil Lion

So Jack and i were at Target last night looking for Halloween costumes and SHOCKER... there were no baby costumes available in his size (29 1/2 pounds). Mr. Lion was the only one i could find that was not girlish. So i tried it on him this morning, with the tags still attached just in case it did not fit him... and VIOLA! Doesn't he look adorable!! It is pretty snug though and there is no way this will still fit him in one month. Back to the store we go... maybe i will try a Halloween specialty store.

Day at the park...

weeeeeeee

i love the playground

look at my cute teeth

yummy... cheerios

yummy... lettuce

Today we met our new friends Mrs. Amelie & her adorable daughter Emma at the park... we had so much fun together trying the swings for the first time and playing on the playground! Fall has arrived in Florida and it was such a beautiful day, nice and breezy!

Later in the day we met daddy for lunch and tried lettuce for the first time. All was good until jack projectile vomited EVERYWHERE... poor little man. i think his gag reflex is still in place because he either swallows or just throws up.

Jack just started clapping his hands this weekend... so precious! And we tried Cheerios for the first time, he LOVED them of coarse! On Saturday night we went to Jonathan's concert/cd release party and got to hang out with my cousins Ashley, Chad, and Jason. It was so much fun, i am so proud of him!!! Oh and mom and dad quit smoking... or have started the process - we are soooo excited!

Mr. Bead Head

So i don't know if you can tell... but he just woke up from a nap and had the cutest messy hair/bead head look! Plus he is definitely getting his two top teeth now...but they are on opposite sides from one another so it looks more like fangs. The little man is doing well, still trying solid foods (mostly: apples, pears, green beans, peas, carrots, and bananas.) Oh, and we just joined a mommy playgroup so we are both making new friends and enjoying getting out of the house more.

Day at the Dog Beach

Yesterday we went to the dog beach with Bellie & Butterscotch "aka - Otch", our two golden retrievers, and Uncle Rick and his dog Hazel. It was an adventure for SURE! for starters it was a nice little 10 minute hike to the dog part of the beach, which was quite the task carrying jack (now weighing in at 28 pounds), two big beach bags, two dog leashes, and an umbrella! Once we got to the water were were situated for no more than 20 minutes before Otch decided to POOP in the water! mind you there were tons of people in the water with their kids and dogs! we were sooooo embarrassed! by the end of the day we were exhausted. Later in the evening we all went out to dinner... this last pic is of jack sitting like a big boy in his high chair:)

My Dad, Mommie, & GrandMom, Dad, & Bren
Ahhhh... i just love this smile:)
Jack was having way too much fun playing with dad's gift bags rather than his toysThe infamous "Chef Brendan" cake... that was falling apart before we even cut into it Jack snoozing in Grandma Honey's lap

Thursday night was my dad's birthday, so jack and i headed down to St. Pete for the day to help cook his favorite meal (steak & twice baked potatoes with red velvet cake) and go swimming. The rest of the family met us down there for dinner and we all learned how jack is enthralled with gift bags - too cute! After a long day and a night of wonderful celebration we were all pooped! Happy birthday Daddyo... I LOVE YOU!!

Hurricane Gustav can't stop us...

Look Mom, i can eat my toesDriving the boat with my favorite "Honey"
Driving the boat with my favorite "Grand"This McDonald's actually has a boat dock
Uncle Dave driving the boat
"My future is so BRIGHT... i need to wear SHADES"
In light of Hurricane Gustav and Hannah striking... we decided to go out on the boat this weekend for one last drive around the bay before things got rough. We honestly expected bad weather and choppy seas... but surprisingly experienced nice sunny weather. And baby Jack loved being outside, big shock there - the boy would live outside if we let him!! Oh... and you have to take note of the first ever McDonald's that has a "boat dock." CRAZY
